Invitation To A Pastor

...

The refusal of the appointment of honorary doctors UAB Josep Fontana and Jordi Nadal

Rebellion

few weeks ago we learned ( http://www.rebelion.org/noticia.php?id=121835 ) that recently the Autonomous University of Barcelona had rejected the appointment of doctors "honoris causa "the distinguished professors Josep Fontana and Jordi Nadal. Some (many, hundreds, thousands ...?) think that the dominant thought (only? ") and has a lot to have the echo that provide media institutions and their service, resources have not, even remotely, those social scientists who defend critical thinking. Therefore, we believe that refusing to recognize the record and qualifications of teachers Fontana and Nadal is an act of moral poverty which we can not be complicit by our silence.

This has led us to take the initiative to write a short letter to the Rector of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona expressing our outrage at the refusal to recognize academic deserve Josep Fontana and Jordi Nadal. The letter has been sent has been supported by more than eighty academics, and reads as follows:

Ms Ana Ripolli Aracil

Rector of the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona:

Lady. Lead:

Having considered the recent refusal to grant the title of "Doctor Honoris Causa" to professors Josep Fontana and Jordi Nadal, I wish to convey my shock and outrage at this foolishness. Gloss over the merits of both figures overflows a short paper like this that just want to make clear that this rejection only discredits the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, which runs the risk of appearing as sectarian and even prone to some academic McCarthyism condemned without any palliative.

Hoping that this huge error is corrected, Yours faithfully

From now on, whoever you support this protest is directed, by copying the text or writing one to aim for the rector's email address UAB, rectora@uab.cat or gabinet.rectorat @ uab.cat

Please put a copy of these messages to plopezgt @ gmail or salarnal@gmail.com to know what response have you had this action.

Cheap Brawny Trash Bags 30 Liter

THE JOURNALIST OF THE RIGHT TO CRITIQUE EUSKERA CESAR VIDAL MARTINEZ WILL ANSWER AND MONTSERRAT

The Basque language is so primitive it known, for example, which would be universal, ie, the idea of "tree", which is an idea that exists in advanced languages (not like Basque) in the Basque language does not exist. Basque as a language is very primitive Beech, 'loj pine', 'loj poplars "but no" tree. " To speak of the tree had to take a loan from the Castilian, which is the "tree" .. And in that sense, of course, is a language which is still developing the human mind does not realize that there are universal, still lives on the basis of individuals.

"Do not say we did not study the Basque, Basque think you have to study other minority languages as the" Cherokee, Apache or Georgian. That is, we seem to be languages that have to be chairs of study, which is very interesting philological studies that are made about let alone that there is a dictionary that would allow such language is understood by people who speak languages with a extraordinary power of communication such as English. "

"That above is not even the Basque, is a monster based on the" batua "which is spoken in the Basque. People who are "Basques," which are "euskaroparlantes" are horrified decades with what is spoken in the Basque because not even the Basque, a language laboratory absolutely, also based in the Basque dialect of Biscay , in 'batua' (sic). "

"Mr. Vidal: Stunned

hear his brief dissertation on euskara or if you prefer, Basque. I'd like to read in its entirety and without prejudice this letter whose sole purpose is to clarify some confusion that, in my opinion, on the Basque language ... I agree with you that Euskara is a primitive language, but in the descriptive sense of the first meaning that the dictionary of the RAE: 1. adj. First in line, or who has no source making something else, and it is unknown at the moment, the origin or relationship to other languages .. I venture to think that you, however, well qualify to Basque thinking more in the fourth meaning of the same dictionary: 4. adj. Rudimentary, elementary, crude since then argues that this ignores the universal language such as tree and lives on the basis of individuals, as if this made the Basque placed in a disadvantageous position compared to other modern languages. On the concepts of universal and particular language I will not extend and I refer you to the work of Chomsky, Boas, Bloomfield and other renowned linguists. I cite only William of Ockham: The universal words are linguistic signs of individual things, created by a simple matter of practicality. As you can see no reason to believe that a language is better than another for this reason.

Secondly, Euskara has, besides the word tree, the following terms zuhaitz, zuhamu, zuhain or zuhaintze. Undeniable is the Latin origin of tree as the tree is in English: arbor,-oris as the Basque language, like all others, has collected over its long history loans different languages that have had contact. This linguistic phenomenon is enriching and not embarrassing like you meant to imply. I sincerely appreciate that we compare with the Cherokee language, apache or Georgia or any, they are all worthy transmitters of their cultures equally worthy. And yet I consider him more to encourage the study was long since banned its use not only until the academic year and philological study of Basque.

As for the idea that there is a dictionary for people who want to understand it without knowing the language, I applaud your initiative also because I firmly believe that knowledge does not take place and I encourage all stakeholders to consult the bookstores and libraries or Internet where you will find plenty of material on the Basque lexicon. I suppose that when you refer to languages with a special power of communication is English and does not exclude others. As a historian, writer and journalist who is, you know that all languages have that power. For example, in Inuktitut (more correctly known as Eskimo) has many more terms to the English to describe snow. Does this actually gives more power to Inuktitut media?. According to a semiotic theory known, therefore there are no differences in intellectual processes but cultural experiences are different.

Finally I would like to point out some erroneous statements made at the end of his speech on Euskara. Do you remember what purpose he founded the Royal Academy of English Language in 1713?. Was to set the voices and words of English the most property, elegance and purity, which was reflected in the motto Clean, fixes and gives splendor. And gone so far, what is the main task of the current RAE?. Well, neither more nor less than to develop the normative rules of English to ensure a common linguistic standard. What you described as monster is the standard common language of Euskara. With some years overdue but we wanted to "cleanse, fix and give splendor" in our language. This work is performed magnificently "Euskaltzaindia" or the Real Academia de la Lengua Vasca since 1919, officially recognized by the SAR since 1976. In the words of the institution ensures Euskera, or Basque. It carries out research on it, the social protection and establishes their use philological standards. It was this body, at the request of certain intellectual circles, which promoted the unification of the Basque dialects (euskalkiak). Initially, before the English Civil War, was taken as the base and later Gipuzkoa classic Labourdin Vizcaya not as you say. Between 1964 and 1968 set the first standards for the current unification based on the Gipuzkoa-Navarra. During the following years he continued working on the standardization process with recognized success. It is true that some sectors of the population, mainly due to age or educational level, have had difficulty in adapting to the standard language but no more so than in the case of English or another language, if we take the same social parameters. However, in general, this aspect is completely normal. I hope these explanations may contribute to a deeper knowledge of the Basque language. And, although I have no I hope that answer or do reach the general public these corrections, writing has been very rewarding for me.

THE HUMAN RACE (4): Where we are going to Education

Possiblement amb aquesta month follow was asked aftertaste classic. It is the question that has been made redundant since humanity was able to locate themselves in the evolutionary space, and is the question we must ask ourselves until it becomes transhumans.

view our open three scenarios that tell the future.

The first is that the evolution and adaptation of humans on the planet remain the same and that there is structural continuity with a series of cyclical crises that reset the system and that reform was for many years to keep up with some increasing stability.

The second scenario is that the system that humans are building accelerate much, so that crises become systemic and that our species is incapable of reacting acceleration and, therefore, collapse.

The third is that the species, as all who have lived on our planet, then runs a series of crises. The result would then extinction.

Consider these scenarios can be for the species in a good way to help make decisions. It also allows us to analyze what happened during the evolution with time after the bodies of stability, of stasis, they had to change strategies to survive and have been subjected a strong selection process. Many have collapsed, but others have survived and others have disappeared.

Of course, accelerating scientific and technological revolution that has caused and socialization has to metabolize. The exponential convergence as a species we are located, leads to a discontinuity. It is therefore possible that the collapse is the mechanism of evolutionary purge in which we find ourselves compelled humanity.

We must remember to be very close, that the digestion of the industrial revolution took us two world confrontations, which led to near 200 million direct and indirect deaths. The metabolization of scientific and technological revolution, we will invoice. Plausibly, the loss of population is the order we have mentioned before: 15 percent or more of the species will pay with his life the continuity of the evolutionary system.

As you can see, my position is tilted by the second scenario, the collapse. We are in a systemic crisis that will manifest in a fluctuating and potentially leads to chaos, if we fail to clarify their effects.

scenario 1, the cyclical crises and the readjustment of system, no longer contemplate, because I think the systemic crisis that has entered our economy, already attempting to discredit. The stage 3, extinction, seems to go against the principle of hope, though reputed scientific colleagues have defended as something irreversible.

Garrett Popcorn Vs Nuts On Clark

By Rocío Yelitza
Twiiter (rocioyelitza10)

In recent days, the blog discussed the different types of love that is within the football (love soccer, love soccer thanks), and building on 14 February, we will play one of the most important issues for our Pamboleras: love for a player.

is a topic that gives a lot to discuss, as there are girls who know nothing about football, but for a twist of fate, they discover a handsome football player, and become fanatical to the computer where the above-mentioned military ...

There are other players who love their and always support the team, are also those that see the player as a simple platonic love, knowing that the guy probably already has made life (has a girlfriend, married, have children, etc.), but others if they are deluded with the idea that maybe, your player will fix them and get a nice love story.

And we're not saying the fans did not get a chance to have a great love for the footballer, in fact there is a case of the wife of Juan Carlos Cacho, who came regularly to see their idols of Cruz Azul, and then came love with this player. Today they are married.

About the subject, our friend Lety, fond Toluca, sent us a description dedicated to his great love: Antonio Ríos .

"He was born October 24, 1988 in Arcelia, Guerrero. Some time ago I've known him since he played in the basic forces of Deportivo Toluca. No one knew of its existence, but it was a July 26, 2009 in Week 1 against Chivas Guadalaraja where this guy made his debut in the First Division, amazing friends and strangers, we wondered, who is he?
wore the number 15, did a great role in the midfield for the Red Devils. In that game, the score termini 4-3, triumph of the State of Mexico.

not seen again in the rest of the tournament ... Who was he? No one remembered, not for long ...

the tournament came Bicentennial 2010, at date 1 saw no activity, but on the day 2, everything was different, because with the departure of Israel López club, this guy took the great opportunity that was given and entered the team's starter box.
really do not notice the absence of number 8 of the scarlet team, scoring goals from long distance in the league Concacaf Champions in the local tournament, but without doubt the most remembered is the one who scored in the semifinal against Pachuca Pachuca, giving the final pass.
Today is a permanent fixture, jump onto the field looking forward, always defending the red shirt and felt that what being a champion, I can not deny the pride I feel in that a person like him, represent this great institution, no doubt to me games are different with their presence, they scream your name at the top, it saddens me that do not play, I love hearing from him, see him in photos, videos, when see face to face, my heart late, my body is paralyzed, he is more than a team player to master, for me ... is more ... "

ANTONIO RIOS MARTINEZ, THANKS FOR BEING IN THIS GREAT INSTITUTION

the ball keep rolling in our favor

Pambolera a week

Alejandra - Cruz Azul fan

The pambolera this week called Alexandra is 15, and certainly is a great passion for Cruz Azul.

Tell us a little about yourself: M and call Alejandra and I have 15 years. I live in Mexico City. I am very fond of Cruz Azul, because in my family are all fans, I love football, I like being with my friends watching the games who are interesting, and also those of Cruz Azul, live with my family, listening to music, and most typically be on the computer, and also go to the games of my brother (sometimes fails goals, but I want it lol). Every 15 days we are going to the stadium with some neighbors. I am more passionate than my own dad, I always say how was the Cruz Azul, or that position is, and if you know the results of the other parties. How

pambolera lives a passion for Cruz Azul? Well passion. I cry when I miss a final or latest when the Pumas us out, then I cried. Sometimes I get mad because they are not playing well, but do not so coveted title, but I never change my team for another even bet.

What is missing from the machine to be the team that was in the 70's, in your opinion? For me it takes is LOVE FOR THE SHIRT, players arrive or the case, do not feel it is wearing a shirt of a great team, just come for money, as the case of Da Silva, but not came at a price. Glad you did not come to Cruz Azul!

best thing about being cross bluish is: see my team fight for the title every season that we need.

Favorite player: My favorite player ... because I have many, but for me is my uncle, Jose de Jesus Corona.

Your ultimate dream: Before he died, is to see that my team is many times champion and that players have love for the jersey.

What do you think more and more women become involved in football? Good thing somo more women than men. I hope we are more women that we love soccer, and I think also influences us to see our platonic love.

Pamboleras A Message: That they continue on a path to achieve that every day more kids you like football and we do not intimidate men. Thanks for interviewing me.

Alejandra shares a poem he made in his English language class, which turned to Cruz Azul:

I started to love a child, I began to follow

and mourn for their failures, but there was always
realize their
triumph.

I wanted this win so many years without winning
of
have this victory so special,
that star, the ninth that
we lack so much longed for.

13 years without winning, the long time

can not get it.
but I trust you
my CRUZ AZUL, mi amor,
my passion, my madness. Contigo
support
teasing,
you cried when they lost, but never mind

now because I'll follow you all
parts, I follow you I do not care what they say
because you are
largest among all
called big teams.
For a drink I do not change my heart. Ale
